Over the past two years, I have been looking forward to Chelsie and Bryce’s wedding day in the Springfield, IL area… These two are so kind + sweet, and I was thrilled when their wedding day finally arrived!
I loved the two venues Chelsie and Bryce chose for their wedding day! The first – Clayville Historical Site in Pleasant Plains, IL – was perfectly fitting for their boho wedding day vision. The earthy greens + open spaces fit their vision impeccably! And the second – Bomke’s Patch in Springfield, IL – was an amazing place for their family, friends, and loved ones to celebrate alongside the newlyweds. Plus, the owner’s of Bomke’s Patch are family members, so it made perfect sense to have their reception celebration there! I love the sentimental meaning of this!
Chelsie and Bryce are high school sweethearts. They started dating when they were sixteen and have pretty much been together ever since… And as you probably already know, I have a soft spot for high school sweethearts since my husband and I are just that, too! These two lovebirds have been together for many years + enjoyed a long engagement, and they have three beautiful daughters as well! Gosh, wait until you see a couple photos with their girls!
I love these two because their love is playful yet intense. They perfectly complement one another and love intensely, but they know how to let their guards down, have fun, and simply be in the moment together. It was incredibly sweet to witness their relationship + interactions all throughout their wedding day!
The day started with the girls getting ready in downtown Springfield. And let me tell you – these girls were the most relaxed ladies I’ve ever seen on the morning of a wedding day! They were enjoying their time together, hanging out, and starting the day with a slower pace… I LOVED it! Their relaxed attitudes totally set the tone for the entire day, and of course, it was a success! Oh, and when the flowers arrived – I was in love! Wait until you see them below! So, soon after the ladies were ready, we loaded up and went to Chelsie and Bryce’s first look at the Illinois State Capitol building. It was fun to photograph these two (and their bridal party) with a little bit of Springfield flair before heading out to Clayville Historical Site where their ceremony was taking place.
Once we arrived at the historical site, I loved taking advantage of the beautiful open spaces and greenery. Plus, the weather on this wedding day didn’t end up being as warm as forecasted, so we were all enjoying the warm, breezy air throughout bridal party and family photos before the ceremony! Then, it was time for their sweet ceremony under a huge tree at the historical site… So pretty!
After the ceremony, the rest of the day started to pass quickly as the bride and groom joined the reception and started celebrating with their guests. All throughout these moments, I was so happy to see so many people loving on + celebrating with these two. They deserve all of the love in the world, and their day was wonderful! And of course, we ended the evening with sunset photos… My favorite! I know Chelsie and Bryce loved this time to sneak away for a few minutes and take in the day together. Plus, the sunset on their wedding day was GORGEOUS!
Chelsie + Bryce… You two are wonderful! Kyle and I are thankful to know another set of high school sweethearts like you, and we loved being with you all throughout your wedding day! Hugs + love!
