Goodness, I can hardly express how honored I am to be Alison + Brandon’s engagement + wedding photog! These two are so special to me!

Brandon and I go back all the way to our first years in school, and I really don’t remember a time that I didn’t know him! Growing up together, I always loved Brandon’s goofy yet incredibly kind personality. He can always bring a smile to anyone in conversation, and he’s just fun to be around! So, of course, I am honored to be able to photograph such an important time in his life with his wonderful lady Alison.

Fun Fact – Brandon and I were both voted “First To Get Married” out of high school during our senior year, and we both will live up to that… I was the first female out of our graduating class to get married, and Brandon will be the first male out of graduating class to get married – funny how that worked out!

Alison and Brandon’s love story goes back to when they first met and started dating while working at Monical’s Pizza back in 2010… Who else out there LOVES Monical’s as much as me?! Anyway, these two hit it off, starting dating in high school, and have been together for 7 years! Then in April 2016, Brandon proposed to Alison while visiting her at school in Indy. Brandon had an elaborate day planned, but after some alterations to the plans for the day, these two ended up at White River State Park at sunset. These two walked around for awhile – Alison thought they were maybe lost LOL – and Brandon finally got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After the fact, Alison realized that Brandon kept walking around to find the spot where Alison’s friends were hiding to take photos… SO SWEET! 

I loved photographing Alison and Brandon’s engagement session in my neck of the woods in the Kankakee area! We had been planning this session since early 2017, so I was eagerly anticipating the day. The session started in downtown Kankakee, and then we moved to the Kankakee River State Park to explore. While it was cold, the fall colors were so pretty, and my time spent with these two was simply wonderful.

So, so excited for their wedding next September!
