On this Wedding Wednesday, we are talking about investing in the wedding bouquet!
It’s true, and I’m just going to say it… Weddings can be very expensive, and there are undoubtedly many expenses to budget for when it comes to wedding planning! As the planning process begins, a budget is put into place. Then, couples start making decisions as to what they would like to invest in on their wedding days. And let me tell you, I know that wedding budgeting is no easy task!
On this topic, I have a little advice for couples! I 100% recommend investing in your wedding bouquet. Even if your floral budget isn’t large, a photographer can use a wedding bouquet to frame details throughout the wedding. And better yet? The photographer can make those florals the forefront of the day. The bouquet is usually a focal point for detail photos and photos of the couple, too! I would definitely recommend considering investing MORE in the wedding bouquet and LESS on other bouquets/bouts. Why you might ask? Those other flowers are not photographed as much and at the forefront as often as the wedding bouquet. Of course, the other flowers are important, but if you’re on a tight budget – invest more in the wedding bouquet.
When I look back on my very own wedding day, one of my favorite parts was our flowers. I wanted a specific type of flowers (astilbe to be exact!) and hired a trusted florist to make the vision come to life.
My wedding florals – and the photos including them – are still one of my favorite parts of our wedding day!
And of course, as with every Wedding Wednesday post I share, this is just a little friendly advice from a photographer’s perspective. My friend and fellow wedding vendor, Michaela, is a true floral expert. Happy wedding planning!
