This is the second Schippert family that I have photographed this year 😉

When you’re from a small town, it’s difficult not to know everyone or at least know of everyone. So, seven years ago, WOW 7 years ago, I started babysitting for Neil and Theresa and the Schippert kids. I can’t help but feel a little bit old when I think about the fact that both those kiddos will be in high school next fall with one preparing for graduation and the other just starting freshman year! Oh, and this was one of my first jobs – time sure does fly!

Anyway, the Schippert family I photographed last weekend was Neil’s brother’s family, so it’s easy to see the connection. I was thrilled when Dee Ann contacted me for a family photography session on the Illinois College campus. You see, their son Logan is also a student at Illinois College and plays on the football team. The family was going to be in town for the game and thought it would be perfect to schedule a family session before the game – and it was! We started our session on the upper quad of campus, and their outfits even coordinated with IC’s blue mascot/logo color! Then, we moved the session to the football field where Logan wore his football uniform and the family wore Illinois College True Blue gear.

This session was so fun for me (and the family)! It was wonderful that we could do this session at the Schippert family’s “home away from home” during IC football season and at a place that has such importance in their son’s life right now. They even said that when their daughter, Megan, goes to college they will have to do this again at her school! How fun!
