This engagement session… All the heart eyes! I’m still swooning over these River West engagement photos.
Meet Michele & Timmy! I connected with these two through the one and only, Julie & Paul! We photographed their intimate wedding day in 2020 and their wedding celebration in 2021. We adore them and are incredibly thankful that they introduced us to Michele and Timmy! Michele was one of Julie’s bridesmaids, and Julie will be her matron of honor. You know I love this!
Michele and Timmy’s story goes back a few years ago. Their BFFs, Julie and Paul, introduced them. Are you sensing a theme here!? Timmy’s brothers are best friends with Paul, so it’s all connected, and I love that.
This past spring, Michele and Julie were out to margs for a “girl’s night”. After margs, they ended up walking to Michele’s old apartment building. When they walked in the door, the doorman handed Michele a handwritten letter from Timmy. Then, Julie brought Michele upstairs to the 15th floor where Timmy proposed! So, so sweet!
Now, they’re planning their summer 2023 wedding day together!
On the evening of their session, Michele and Timmy were a little nervous about photos because they aren’t picture people as they told me! I met them at their apartment in River West, and after that, we walked to one of their go-to bars down the street, The Dandy Crown. I loved starting their session on a light note with cocktails and conversation. So. Much. Fun.
After our fun at The Dandy Crown, we walked back to their apartment building for a few more photos and an outfit change. Then, we wandered a few blocks away to Kinzie Street Bridge before making it back to their neighborhood in River West for our final photos on their rooftop. I also love a rooftop moment for engagement and/or wedding photos… So, you can bet that I was in LOVE with this ending to their session!
Michele and Timmy are just good people. They’re kind, funny, and a true match for each other. Throughout their session, I loved getting to know them better individually and as a couple. It’s truly an honor to be the one that will document their wedding day next year!
