This winter engagement session was perfection from start to finish!
If you know me, you know that high school sweethearts have my heart! It’s true – even throughout all these years of photographing couples (nearly 250!) in love, high school sweethearts really do always hold a special place in my heart… Pair that with getting to photograph your best friend’s little sister’s winter engagement and wedding photos, and my heart is full!
Meet Alaina and Konnor! These two are high school sweethearts. Alaina is my best friend’s younger sister and Konnor is another dear friend’s younger brother, so I’ve known them for pretty much forever! We’ve always known Alaina and Konnor would spend forever together. It’s only been a matter of time before their engagement.
At Christmas last year, Konnor proposed to Alaina at the house they’d called home for the last three and a half years. Alaina told me it was a perfect moment that felt true to them as a couple. And their dog Hank was part of the proposal, too!
Alaina and Konnor jumped right into wedding planning, and it’s truly an honor to be their engagement and wedding photographer. Over the past couple of months, we’ve been planning details for their winter engagement session. I love that Alaina and Konnor chose winter engagement photos to complement their upcoming winter wedding day. They also chose to have the photos take place on the family farm where Konnor grew up and works at… I love the sentiment.
On the day of their session, we were thankful for the most gorgeous winter sunshine and a little bit of snow on the ground! It was 40-something degrees for a perfect afternoon on the farm taking engagement photos. I couldn’t love these two or these photos any more!
So excited for Alaina and Konnor’s wedding day at the I Hotel later this year!
