Torie and Adrian’s wedding day is making its way to the blog today!
You may remember these two from their super snowy engagement session at the start of this year – yes, we met for their engagement session during a snowstorm, and it was beautiful! I’ve never had such a snowy session (and that snow was coming down quickly), but it worked out perfectly. The best scenario you can hope for when you plan a February winter session. And these two were troopers despite the snow and cold!
Torie and Adrian met a few years ago on a date night, and their story has been history ever since! Then, during the holidays two years ago, Adrian surprised Torie with a proposal. I love it!
And before we knew it… It was wedding time! Their wedding day was much warmer than their engagement session and just a nice overcast late September day. Over the past year and a half, I had been looking forward to this wedding day with Torie and Adrian. They started the day surrounded by their close family and friends. Torie spent the morning at her grandma’s country home outside of Momence, and this was the perfect place for Torie and the girls to settle in, relax a little, and prepare for the day ahead.
As the morning rolled into the early afternoon, it was time for the ceremony! I loved the beautiful church – St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – where these two committed their life to one another. It was ornate and lovely and the photos are simply reminiscent of the sweet ceremony they shared.
After the ceremony, it was fun to gather the family for photos before heading out for bridal party and bride + groom photos. Fun Fact – I’ve known Torie for around 10 years (since Kyle and I started dating!), so it was fun to catch up with the family and photograph all of them with the newlyweds.
We loved staying close to home in Momence for bridal party photos. And on this day, the fall colors were definitely starting to peek through as you’ll see in the photos of the couple below. As the afternoon turned into the evening, Torie and Adrian were surrounded by their closest loved ones as they celebrated the night away. The simple, sweet wedding day was perfect for this couple!
