My, oh my, the VanHoveln family… I’m not sure where to start!

Holli and I have “known” one another through mutual friends for some time, but their fall family session was the first time we were able to officially meet. She is a new photographer and small business owner herself, so we quickly clicked as like-minded individuals with drive for creativity and serving others!

When Holli contacted me this fall about photographing her family, I was immediacy so excited! It is a true honor for a photog to trust another to document moments in their life, their family, their joy. I am gracious and humbled by this trust instilled in me by others.

As we started planning, Holli was so joyful and simply thankful… She hadn’t had professional family photographs in years or photos of herself and her husband since their wedding and wanted them to be perfect! Her family has grown and changed, experienced new beginnings, and found an immense amount of joy. As I photographed this session and as I look back on it now, it is evident that this family encompasses JOY! I’m at a loss for any other way to describe it!

The girls, Reagan and Ryli, are as sweet as pie! They love each other dearly and are best friends. Despite the wind and chilly fall weather for this session, the girls snuggled in and were truly themselves as I photographed them. I loved laughing alongside this family and documenting their pure happiness.

At the end of the day, the goal of this session was to celebrate life and this family finding joy together… I think the photos show just that and MORE!
