Wouldn’t you know, just today my Timehop app told me that one year ago today I blogged my “The Reset Conference | 2015 Review” post. So, today is perfectly fitting for my 2016 review!
As a disclaimer, the photos on today’s blog post are simply how my desk looks today… In the days following the conference, my “Reset” notebook has been flipped through many times! And believe it or not, I did not take out my “big” camera once throughout the duration of the two day conference. It may seem backwards and silly, but this allowed me to dig deep, focus, and enjoy my time with other creatives!
So, this year, the conference transitioned to a two-day conference held on Sunday, March 13th and Monday, March 14th. For the past two years the conference has been one day long; therefore, I loved the two-day option because it made everything feel not so crunched together and there was simply more time.
More time allowed more learning, more relationships and connections, and ultimately, I believe, the potential of more growth for the attendees and their businesses!
I listened and took detailed notes during amazing presentations by Julie Paisley of Julie Paisley Photography, Amy and Jordan Demos, Sarah Cornish of My Four Hens Photography, Rebekah Albaugh, Kellie Penn of Across the Miles Photography, Kara Kamienski of Kara Kamienski Photography, and more! You see, that’s why my desk and the “Reset” notebook have been such important parts of my week… But, they are only two of the tools that are helping me build, grow, and succeed!
My favorite part of the weekend was catching up and spending time with my friend Kate Spencer. It was so incredibly fun and rewarding to attend the conference with her because she is an amazing friend, competitor, and supporter of mine in this industry! We simply understand each other as creatives and human beings! #communityovercompetition
As you can hopefully tell, this conference is all about community, friendship, support, relationships, and accessibility because the speakers genuinely want to meet and connect with you!
If you haven’t checked out this conference, you need to! I’m keeping my eyes peeled for when they announce information about next year’s conference! Hope to see you there!
