Last Monday, I returned home to Illinois from a trip that included both work and play!

Just three years ago I met the Dingwerth family when they visited Illinois, and I was honored to photograph their kiddos back then. Then, last winter, I traveled to Texas to photograph the entire family. Now, in 2016, I traveled back to Texas to photograph the Dingwerth family for the third year in a row! My goodness how the twins have grown up and changed in just a few short years of knowing them!

I loved planning a long weekend in Texas to not only photograph sessions, but also to visit my best friend from college, Alexis. You see, Alexis connected me to her family – the Dingwerths – and I am always in awe of how they welcome me into their home and family with open arms! Alexis is living in Texas with this family for a few months before starting dentist school this summer! Sweet, right?

The Dingwerth family is so sweet and always trusting of my ideas and vision for their session! I loved photographing these four, plus Rocket the pup, and I’m happy to share photos from their (almost springtime) family session in Texas today on the blog!
