In 2013, I attended (the very first) Reset Conference in Champaign, IL. I “knew” Karin Doolin from the Central Illinois photographer community on Facebook, but I had yet to meet her in person. That March day marked our official meeting! Karin is the kindest soul dedicated to serving others and making life better for those around her – near and far. It’s so easy to look past issues that aren’t right next door, but I truly admire Karin’s heart for others. Her mission is awfully amazing and outstanding. Since then, I have followed Karin’s activities and journey through her non-profit organization, The Big Picture Project.

I’ve donated a session to The Big Picture Project’s Portraits for Change online fundraiser to provide children in Kenya, Africa with a quality education. I am beyond thrilled to be able to offer a session where 100% of the funds collected go directly towards building a school in Africa! This session provides possibilities for a brighter future and is a great opportunity for you to get a discounted session (plus extra goodies) with me all while making a difference in the bigger picture.

It is incredibly heartbreaking that 250 million children worldwide lack basic reading, writing, and math skills, but we can help change that by playing a small part. On the other hand, it is incredible that this school will provide quality education to over 400 children and many generations to come.
