Carol and Casey’s fall wedding photos at The Barn at Sioux-Monti are here!
Looking back, I’ve known Carol and Casey for several years! They were first-time fall mini session clients back in 2019, and I’ve been photographing them every year since. Their wedding day is the sweetest milestone yet!
From the Couple
We met years ago through mutual friends. After weeks of Casey asking me out, I finally said yes. Our first date was your typical date; movie, dinner, and drinks. We ate at a local Mexican restaurant and during the date, we both laughed so hard we barely ate our meals. That’s when I knew he was the one. The comfort level he gives me I’ve never felt with anyone else. He says he knew the moment he first saw me.
The proposal happened on one of our many trips to Michigan city. One of our favorite places. Beaches mixed with a little gambling. He was so nervous, it was adorable! We share a two-year-old daughter who is the light of our lives. Along with Cailyn, we have a German shepherd named Ruger and a stray cat who decided to make us his family Mr. Mowgli. We love anything outdoors. We spend a lot of our time on the water and with friends and family.
Favorite Part of the Planning Process
The best part of planning a wedding is seeing the vision you’ve had for years finally coming together.
Advice You Can Share With Future Couples
The best advice I have to give is even though you’re married or about to be married… Still date each other. Make time for just the two of you and do things you enjoy. Laughter is the best medicine and a pretty good cure-all.
The Wedding Day
Carol and Casey’s wedding day took place at The Barn at Sioux-Monti in Idaville, Indiana. Carol’s family is in Indiana and Casey’s is in Illinois, so the venue was the perfect meeting point between families. They were looking for a venue with a rustic vibe and got all of that and more on their wedding day!
The day moved quickly with everyone getting ready, taking photos before the ceremony around the property, and photographing all of the little details Carol and Casey put together. It was a windy and somewhat chilly day, but the sun was shining and we were thankful for that. Carol and Casey shared an outdoor ceremony behind the barn while surrounded by their loved ones.
After the ceremony, we traveled down the road from the venue for a little break from the wind and photos of the newlyweds. Before we knew it, we were back at the reception with their loved ones to celebrate!
As the sun went down, I loved sneaking Carol, Casey, and their daughter Cailyn out for a few photos. These were some of the sweetest moments of their day, and the photos speak for themselves! Then, Carol and Casey made a stop by the adorable cupcake truck outside the barn before heading back into the reception and dancing the night away.
Carol & Casey – Thank you for sharing your day with us!! We’re wishing you many happy married years ahead!
