Excitement was in the air as I arrived to photograph Summer and Robert’s wedding day. Everyone was laughing, talking, and genuinely enjoying the beautiful day. After meeting and hugging these two, I knew that they were kind souls ready to start their marriage and have fun throughout their entire wedding day.
That morning, the weather was warm and the skies showed signs of rain. But, with our luck, we managed to miss all of the rain and take advantage of the beautiful land at Summer’s parent’s home for a majority of the photos. It means the world to me as the photographer to be able to use these places and spaces that mean so much to my clients. It’s so, so sweet!
These two opted for a first look in the wide open backyard while their bridal party watched from a balcony at the house. I loved this setup because it allowed for the bride and groom to have a sweet, intimate moment of seeing one another for the first time on their wedding day, while their family and friends could also experience that joy. Documenting these two sharing their first look and exchanging notes after left me with tears full of joy.
My second shooter, Karen, and I agreed that all of the details throughout the day were intricately planned and showcased. My very favorite details of the day were the pieces of jewelry from the bride and groom’s grandmothers that Summer was able to incorporate into her wedding day attire.
Summer and Robert never ceased to amaze me on their wedding day. No matter what, these two were treating those around them with love, care, and generosity. They showered their bridal party and family with meaningful and heartfelt gifts, and I know that each and every member of the bridal party will never forget those moments. Even on their wedding day, they made it about those around them, and I was thankful to witness such love.
Summer and Robert – I wish you years and years of happiness, love, and affection. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with me, and I hope these photos allow you to relive your beautiful day.
