Summer Maternity Photos at Perry Farm | The Prairie Family

The Prairie family’s maternity session was such a joy to photograph! These parents-to-be found me through so many of my amazing clients in the Clifton area (you know who you are!) – and I’m so grateful for those connections. This session took place on one of the most beautiful August evenings at Perry Farm, and the golden light was simply perfect.

One of the reasons I love maternity sessions so much is because they give you a chance to pause, breathe, and truly soak in the season of carrying your little one. It’s a fleeting chapter, and documenting it allows you to hold onto the feelings and memories long after your baby arrives.

Of course, every session comes with its own behind-the-scenes story, and this one did not disappoint! When we arrived at Perry Farm, we quickly realized there was a big event happening that night. Picture hundreds of people… And cars… Everywhere. Thankfully, I know this location like the back of my hand and had a few backup spots in mind that were quieter and just as beautiful. A quick pivot later, and we were able to create the intimate, peaceful setting these photos deserved.

It’s sessions like this that remind me why adaptability is such an important part of my job. We ended the evening with gorgeous images, happy hearts, and a beautiful memory for the Prairie family to look back on as they prepare to welcome their little one!
