Ahhh, I am swooning over this engagement session! I just love that Breanna and Clay wanted their engagement photos in Kankakee County with me ?

These two met the summer before Breanna’s freshman year and Clay’s senior year of high school. They kept running into each other that summer, and Clay messaged Breanna to break the ice. He’s been making her laugh ever since! After a short time apart when Clay moved away for college, these two have been dating since July 2012. Love that this year, as they plan their wedding for next, marks seven years together for them! Late last year, Clay proposed to Breanna and completely surprised her… Now they’re planning their wedding for next May!

At the start of this year, I connected with these two through my favorite, Elite Bridal. I loved “meeting” Breanna via FaceTime and connecting over our love for our pups. I love this kind, down to earth couple that on date night you can usually find snuggled up on the couch with their pups and takeout. The best!

For their engagement session, the weather gave us a run for our money on their original session date and pushed us to reschedule. And we are so glad it did! The stars aligned when these two had their engagement photos in Kankakee County at the start of June. We started off the session exploring downtown Kankakee for an urban feel before moving to Perry Farm for the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen so far this year. It was so very perfect.

I loved my time spent with these two photographing their snuggles and giggles. Plus it was just so fun to get to know them better – it makes me that much more excited for their wedding day!
