Meet Gabby and Andrew! These two are one of our couples that’s getting married in 2022! We’re oh so excited to photograph their wedding day and happy to share their Yorkville engagement session on the blog!

Gabby and Andrew’s story goes back almost six years. They met when Andrew was a band director at a high school where Gabby was coaching color guard for the marching band. After a few months, they realized they were officially dated and knew they would be together for the long haul. Last year, on the morning of their 5 year dating anniversary, Andrew proposed.  They were still in their pajamas having a slow morning when Andrew took Gabby completely by surprise and proposed. Afterward, they danced around their living room in their pjs just living in the moment and celebrating… Obsessed with these two and their sweet story!

A couple of months ago, Gabby and Andrew found my work online, and I’m so thankful they did! We’ve been getting excited for their 2022 wedding day and planning their engagement photo session in Yorkville ever since!

On the evening of their engagement session, a stormy (and crazy hot & humid!) evening tried to threaten their session, but these two were troopers. We met up in Yorkville for their engagement photos at Silver Springs. Despite the stormy skies, these two were all smiles, laughs, and fun throughout their session. This was the first time they had ever been professionally photographed. They warmed up to the camera so quickly and rocked this session!

My favorite part of this session besides the gorgeous photos of this couple? The fact that we grabbed burgers and beer together afterward. It truly enjoyed this extra time together over great food and conversation. These two speak my language!

Looking forward to Gabby and Andrew’s wedding day at Heritage Prairie Farm next summer!
