Spring Mini Sessions at Studio 388 in Downtown Kankakee

It’s that time of year again – spring mini sessions are making their way to the blog! I recently hosted my annual day of spring mini sessions at our beautiful natural light studio in downtown Kankakee, Studio 388. Every year, this day is such a highlight, and I’m always thrilled to welcome familiar faces and new friends alike!

This spring day at the studio was chilly yet sunny outside, so I was grateful to be tucked inside with the gorgeous soft light pouring in. I had the pleasure of photographing six spring mini sessions, including photos that celebrated families, milestones, and mommy and me moments. It was the perfect combination for a morning filled with joy and connection!

One of my favorite parts of spring mini sessions is creating a simple yet beautiful setup. If you know me, you know I love incorporating neutral tones and natural textures into the studio space. This year, I styled the setup with layered white linens, soft gingham pillows, and gorgeous baskets of baby’s breath. I love how these elements come together to create a fresh and airy vibe that perfectly matches the season!

Sharing the studio with clients, especially those who have become friends over the years, always fills my heart. I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to document their lives as they grow and change. These spring mini sessions are a little slice of that love and connection.
