Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… We’ve all probably heard this wedding day saying that signifies good luck!
So, do you have your something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue details planned? I love preparing brides for their wedding days and requesting that their special details (dress, veil, shoes, jewelry, gifts, invitations, etc.) are gathered for photographs at the very beginning of their day.
But what do I love even more? Asking more about those details and finding their special meanings – her grandmother’s ring, her mother’s handkerchief, or maybe a blue fabric swatch from her father’s shirt sewed to the inside of her dress. I truly love learning about each bride’s “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Whatever it may be, I simply love and appreciate these little details!
I am always in awe of the beautiful meanings these items have for brides (and even grooms) on their wedding days, and I love how unique this small aspect of the day can be!
