You’re finally married… Yay! And now that you’re back from your honeymoon and returning to day-to-day life, it’s time to think about sending wedding day thank you’s!
I’m a snail mail kinda lady – as I’ve mentioned before – so this was one of my favorite things at the end of the wedding process! After we returned home from our honeymoon in Puerto Rico, my husband and I loved sitting down to thank our closest friends and family for their love, celebration, support, and gifts on our wedding day.
But, when should you send these out? My hubby and I sent ours out by our “one month married anniversary”, but I’ve been told that these should simply go out within three months of your wedding date. Being prompt with your thank you’s is important because you truly do care about your loved ones and should say thank you! I also think it’s important that both the bride AND groom contribute to writing thank you’s to their wedding guests. Hey, it’s even a fun time to reminisce and recount your wedding day memories with those guests, too!
So, snuggle in together with a couple glasses of wine, thank you notes, + supplies, and write those notes!
