I’m falling in love with the fall season all over again thanks to the sessions and weddings I’ve had lately! And this engagement session at Cantigny is no exception.
Meet Kelsey and Justin! I met these two last year when I photographed Jessica and Ashton’s wedding day – sweet Kelsey was a bridesmaid and Justin was her date. As we spent the day together, I just thought they were the cutest dating couple! Fast forward to this past summer… I was delighted to see Kelsey’s name in my inbox as an engaged lady!
Kelsey and Justin’s story goes back to college. Their mutual friends were having a get-together when they first met, and these two felt an instant connection. They started talking and before they knew it a few hours had passed – they were in awe of how much they had in common. By the time they said their goodbyes and the party ended, it was the wee hours of the morning. Less than a week later these two officially started dating!
Then earlier this year (and with months of planning with Kelsey’s maid of honor!), Justin proposed to Kelsey while they were visiting her friend + MOH in her new city – San Francisco. After a weekend of touring the city, they set out for a hike and stopped at a picturesque overlook. At that moment – with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background – Justin got down on one knee and proposed to Kelsey! She was completely surprised and excited!
Over the past few months, I’ve loved getting to know these two as we’ve planned their engagement session. I was thrilled when Kelsey and Justin chose to have their engagement session at Cantigny Park. I had a lovely engagement session at the location earlier this year and had been itching to return. Plus a windy + chilly October day couldn’t even stop us from documenting the most beautiful engagement photos. I mean, you guys, this couple and those fall colors… HEART EYES!
