One-Year Studio Milestone Photos | The Scherf Family

Ending the year with the Scherf family and celebrating Kai’s one-year milestone was perfect!

Our niece Lucy and cousin Kai were born just one day apart, so having their sessions as my final two sessions of 2025 felt like the sweetest full-circle moment. It was the perfect way to close out a busy year filled with newborn, milestone, and family sessions both at the studio and outdoors.

Kai is as cute as can be and hands down one of the busiest one-year-olds you will ever meet. He is curious, always on the move, and constantly exploring. His mischievous grin while checking to see if he could get into a little trouble always steals my heart. Those little expressions are the things parents will look back on years from now and instantly remember exactly who their child was in that season.

Just like Lucy’s session, Kai’s milestone session captured so much more than just turning one. We focused on Kai throughout the session while also creating meaningful sibling photos with his big brother and big sister. These moments feel especially precious, knowing how quickly this season passes. I feel so lucky to love this boy and to help preserve these memories for his family!

Closing out 2025 with such special milestone sessions was such a gift. Sessions like these are a reminder that photography is about more than images. It is about family, connection, and preserving the little moments that mean the most!
