A gorgeous summer night on the beach with the Fredrickson family – what could be better? This was such a special travel session as I headed to New Buffalo, the summer home for the Fredrickson crew. When a location holds meaning for a family, it makes the photos even more powerful, and this evening was the perfect example of that.
From the moment we stepped onto the sand, the night was filled with sunshine, laughter, and all the personality from the Fredrickson kiddos. They ran along the water, played in the sand, and soaked in every bit of summer. I loved capturing their joy and the natural beauty of this stunning spot on Lake Michigan.
Sessions like this remind me just how meaningful it is to photograph families in places that are part of their story. Whether it’s your home, a favorite park, or (in this case) your beloved beach getaway, these backdrops bring your photos to life in the most authentic way.
