Whoa, it’s already November, friends! Where did October go?
The month of October was full of so many things from family time to business and everything in between. The month started out with my sister-in-law and niece coming to stay with us while they were visiting from Alaska. That first week of the month consisted of sessions, business mentoring with a local lady boss, a wedding, and we rounded out the week with a trip to the pumpkin patch with our niece Pix and nephew Cooper. So fun!
The second week of October brought – you guessed it! – more sessions and not only one, but TWO, weddings and a girls day in the city with my mom, sister, and niece Sofia. Then, we celebrated my birthday, and, of course, I enjoyed cake! And oh my goodness, wait until you see the photo of our cheerleader Sofia with us after our church volleyball game the day after my birthday. Heart eyes!!
In the middle of the month, my sisters-in-law and I spent our annual day at Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana. It was a beautiful fall day, and we loved spending the day together and shopping. I am obsessed with home decor, so you can probably imagine how much I loved the festival. I found some really pretty decor pieces for our home, too! Love, love, love it! And I just love that this is a tradition each fall for us girls.
Then, I cannot even tell you how thankful I was for three gorgeous days without rain for two family sessions and an engagement session on my calendar. These days were truly gorgeous, and the fall colors were really starting to peek through! And in the third weekend in October, we photographed a super fun wedding day in Champaign with 40 mph winds roaring all around us – whoa! But we loved every minute of it!
To round out the last week and a half of the month, I photographed three travel sessions (are you seeing an October session trend, ha?), shared a girls lunch day with my sister and friend Amy, and then we photographed our last October wedding of the year.
But before the month was over… Kyle and I made a quick trip to Nashville for one last October engagement session with one of our 2019 couples. It was a super quick trip, but we loved getting away for a couple days and exploring the city together.
Friends, I am so looking forward to the month ahead! November always warms my heart as the fall season starts to slow, and the holiday love begins.
