Happy July!
Friends, the month of June was our fastest month yet this year… And we are officially halfway through 2018!
The month of June started out with drill weekend for Kyle and of course, a wedding day for me! After that, we rolled into the first full week of June packed with sessions and celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary. On our anniversary, we loved taking the evening off of work to enjoy each other’s company and our first visit to Uptown Grille in Chebanse. You better bet we will be back – so, so yummy!
Over the weekend following our anniversary, we had a super rare June Saturday AND Sunday off work, so we spent time in the garden (oh yes, it is growing like crazy!) and working on projects at home. It was a wonderful weekend to unplug! After our weekend off, I traveled to the Springfield area the following week for my friend Kate’s annual couples session and an engagement session with one of my November 2018 couples. And then it was up to Starved Rock for a wedding that weekend!
The third week of June brought our niece Pix and her mom on two week visit from Alaska. We loved seeing them (it had been over three months!) and spending time with them. And at the end of that week, we got to snuggle our nephew Cooper and enjoy dinner with him and his parents at a lovely farm to table restaurant in their neck of the woods in Bloomington, IL. You also better bet that we stopped by my favorite – Emack & Bolio’s – for ice cream after dinner!
The last week and a half of the month brought a first birthday party, photos of my nephew Cooper, and a photography workshop nestled between three more weddings (and CRAZY heat!), my sister’s maternity session, a pool day with my sister-in-law and Pix, and prep for my sister’s baby shower. Talk about packing it all in! My favorite people are beyond worth the love and joy and time well spent.
As you can probably tell, this month was packed, but we are thankful for the past month and the people we shared it with!
