My fall couples are the BEST! And Mackenzie and Greg are no exception to that!
I “met” these two through my neighbor Sarah – Mackenzie’s sister – and I am so thankful that I did! These two are a joy to be around, full of laughs, and they are just so perfect together.
Mackenzie and Greg met years ago after her mom set them up on a blind date. While things didn’t work out then because Mackenzie went off to college, these two reconnected after Mackenzie moved back home after finishing college. Their paths crossed again, and it was like they had never been apart – how very sweet!
Then on a trip to Chicago to see Hamilton together, Greg proposed to Mackenzie at their hotel complete with candles, a slideshow of their love story on his computer, and a tripod videoing the moment. At the end of the video slideshow, the song “Marry You” by Bruno Mars started playing… Cue the happy tears, excitement, and of course, a resounding “YES” from Mackenzie!
Over the past few months, I have enjoyed getting to know these two while planning their engagement session. Both of these two are so involved in the process, and it’s been great! For their engagement session, we started in Danville, IL at Harrison Park Golf Course where Mackenzie’s dad works (sweet scenery for his daughter’s e-session I must say!), and then traveled to Cissna Park where Greg grew up and lives on the family farm. These locations were perfectly fitting for this couple, and I loved it! I would have to say that my very favorite images are those with Mackenzie and Greg in the open pasture… IN LOVE with them!
Cheers to these two lovebirds! So excited for their June wedding day!
