Kimberle and Daniel were married on 8/18/18 – the most popular wedding date of 2018 – and it was a honor to spend the day with this couple!

Before I get too excited and share their beautiful wedding photos with you, I would just LOVE to tell you more about these two and their love story! Kimberle and Daniel met over seven years ago when they were both working at Papa Dels in Champaign. They shared a three year engagement leading up to their wedding this past August – love it! These two love going on adventures together – hello camping and weekend trips – and time spent with their dear family and friends.

Their wedding day started out on a beautiful note as the bridesmaids settled in at a family friend’s home near the University of Illinois campus and the groomsmen settled in at another friends home to get ready. When Kyle and I arrived, we were thrilled to see that the morning of getting ready was running ahead of schedule – yay! Kimberle was eagerly anticipating the moment she could see her groom.

Before we knew it, it was time for Kimberle and Daniel to share a first look at the University of Illinois Arboretum. And my goodness, it was a beautiful day outside! We had a breeze and sunshine, and we were thankful. After these two shared a first look surrounded by their closest friends and loved ones, we were off for a few more photos before tucking everyone away prior to the ceremony (that their long time friend would be officiated – how meaningful!). I love that this couple chose a first look… It truly rooted them in the day and relaxed their nerves – they were ready to spend the rest of the day together and get MARRIED!

I love the venue that Kimberle and Daniel chose – CityView in Champaign – because it was 100% fitting for their style (LOVED the navy + white + gray + touch of pink!) and wedding day. It was perfect for these two to have the ceremony and reception all at the same venue but in different spaces. And with their family and friends celebrating their wedding day after traveling down the road AND states away… Everyone loved it! And I can’t forget to mention the pretty views overlooking Champaign.

As the afternoon rolled into the evening and before a few rain showers hit, it was my favorite part of this day to sneak Kimberle and Daniel out for a few more photos in downtown Champaign. These are some of my favorite urban sunset photos EVER. The sweet couple, the textures, their style, the sentimental brooch on Kimberle’s dress and just everything about these photos is perfectly fitting for Kimberle and Daniel. I was thankful to be able to document them on this day!
