It’s always so special when I get to see familiar faces walk back into the studio, and the Brokop family is one I’ve been looking forward to seeing again! I first met them during last year’s holiday mini sessions, and ever since then, we’ve been eagerly anticipating Brooks’ one-year milestone and family session.
Getting to celebrate this milestone with them was such a joy. One-year sessions are some of my favorites. There is just so much personality, curiosity, and sweetness packed into this milestone!
One of the things I loved most about the Brokop family’s session was that they chose a full session. This gave us so much flexibility and room to truly capture this season of life. With a full session, we’re able to start with family photos, then move into each parent with their little one, and of course, plenty of photos of your one-year-old on their own.
And then… We get to do it all again with a second outfit and cake like this session!
Having that extra time makes such a difference. It allows us to slow down, follow your child’s lead, and create space for breaks when needed — whether that’s a quick snack, a cuddle with mom or dad, or just a moment to reset. Not every second is spent taking photos, and that’s truly the beauty of it. Those in-between moments often end up being some of the most meaningful. Full sessions give us the freedom to play, explore, and let your little one just be themselves. And can I let you in on a little secret? That is exactly how we capture genuine smiles, movement, and connection!
Brokop family – it was so, so good to see you again and celebrate Brooks turning one! Watching your family grow and getting to document these milestones is the greatest honor. I’m already looking forward to the next time I get you in front of my camera.
