Happy Monday to you!
Today, I am so excited to share that my work is currently displayed at a local small business, and one of my very favorites, Grapes & Hops in Kankakee, Illinois! When we first moved to Bourbonnais, I met Amy and Terrance at Grapes & Hops and instantly knew we would be friends… These two are business partners, but also a sister-brother duo. They are kind, driven, and incredibly supportive of other small business owners. I love being around them deep in conversation + leaning on each other for support! These two are doing BIG things for the local community, and I’m thankful for them!
So, at the beginning of the year when Terrance reached out about displaying work at Grapes & Hops, I was so excited! And I knew the perfect photos for the display – photos of the Colombia countryside from our fall 2015 trip. I have always loved these photos + these landscapes, so it all was perfectly fitting!
This is a first for me, so as you can tell, I am overjoyed! It is so fun to share these beautiful scenes + photos with people in our local community, and I love how they start conversations… Even as I was taking these photos to share on my blog, a visitor at Grapes & Hops said, “Oh, there’s new art up! I wonder where these were taken!”. And the conversation began!
If you have a chance this month, I would LOVE it if you stopped by to see my work + enjoy wine, beer, cheese, or even fudge at Grapes & Hops in Kankakee! You’ll love the atmosphere there, AND the people are even better!
