When it comes to your engagement session, planning is KEY!

I LOVE to work with my couples to plan for their sessions – from location to wardrobe to accessories. You name it, I love to help! And, it’s a fun process that helps our relationship grow even more!

Here are my four tips for your engagement session outfits…

1. Coordinate, DON’T match. Yes, this is so important! We don’t want both of you in the same color/pattern. Your outfits will compete way too much! Try to coordinate so that your outfits complement one another!

2. Plan 2 outfits. I love when couples have a variety of outfits that fit their style! If you’re comfortable with two outfits, I recommend that you plan one dressy outfit + one casual outfit.

3. Consider your wedding colors. No, this does not always come into play, but it is great to consider your wedding colors/theme when planning your engagement session outfits. Why? Because if you’re sending Save The Dates your outfits will perfectly coordinate with the overall feel of your wedding. This is not a MUST in planning your outfits by any means, but it can be something to consider!

4. Flowy = Romantic. Go for flowy outfits (brides) because they are so organic and romantic. See this concept pictured below… This style of clothing photographs like a dream and contributes to the overall natural feel of your engagement photos!
