Elizabeth and Zach’s wedding day was wonderful, and I am thankful to have established a working relationship and friendship with this couple!

Just under a year ago, I met Elizabeth and Zach for the first time for their engagement session in Springfield, Illinois. We both drove to meet one another for the session on a very chilly early November day, but these two were troopers!…… Our session even ended with snow! I believe it was the first snowfall of the year, how sweet! I loved working with these two at their engagement session, and I knew their wedding day would not disappoint.

Throughout the months leading up to their wedding day, Liz has messaged and emailed me back and forth so many times and I LOVE it! I love chatting back and forth with my brides and establishing a stronger relationship. It was wonderful being kept up to speed with all of the details as they unfolded! AND I was able to see Liz and Zach a few months before their wedding as they were bridal party members in another wedding that I photographed – love it! This mutual friend’s wedding originally connected us (see the Davidson wedding here), and we are so grateful for the connection!

On September 26, 2015, Elizabeth and Zach were married in Wood River, Illinois at Vaughn Hill Church of Christ. The day was perfect for photos as it was a bit overcast with the sun peaking through. The land surrounding the church was gorgeous, and I loved using the land for bridal party photos, family photos, and photos of the bride and groom. Wait until you scroll down and see the lovely tall grass!

All throughout the day, Elizabeth and Zach were simply happy. They were filled with joy, tears, and emotion. I loved watching their day unfold from behind my lens. Their ceremony incorporated personal touches as a family member wedded them and Liz’s son, Kaiden, joined the sand ceremony. These moments were simply sweet and overflowing with happiness.

At the end of the night, after hugging the bride and groom, it is an amazing feeling to have been part of such a momentous day. Each and every wedding leaves me with this feeling, and my couples are unforgettable.
