This summer girl is in love with the fall colors! Meet Jess and Dmarte – we met up in Geneva for their fall engagement photos a few weeks back!

Jess and Dmarte met on Instagram around two and a half years ago. A few weeks later, they went on their first date to a local ice cream shop and hit it off. This past July, Dmarte proposed to Jess and they celebrated with family and friends afterward. Now, they’re planning their summer 2022 wedding day and enjoying life in the suburbs with their rescue dog, Luna!

Earlier this year, Jess and Dmarte reached out to me after their found my work while searching for wedding photos at their venue and stumbling across Colette and Alfonso’s wedding photos. We connected from the start because they told me they were looking for a photographer to connect with, not just to take their photos. Hey, that’s me and one of the greatest joys of my job!

Over the past few months, we’ve been brainstorming and planning details for their Geneva engagement photos. On the day of their session, some clouds and a little threat of rain rolled in, but we ended up with the most perfect evening. We met up in downtown Geneva to start their session and made a pit stop at their first date spot, Graham’s, for ice cream before location number two. Once we enjoyed ice cream (me too, of course!), we traveled down the road to Fabyan Forest Preserve. The forest preserve was the perfect spot for some fall outdoorsy photos and photos with their pup, Luna.

This engagement session was super fun and fall really showed off for Jess and Dmarte! Looking forward to their wedding day next summer!
