September engagement sessions like this Chicago skyline engagement session are in full swing! Meet Kait and David ?
These two first found me through the Knot and reached out to me several years ago before deciding to push their wedding to after David finished medical school… As soon as we started talking back then AND reconnected earlier this year, I’ve always known they were my kinda people!
Kait and David grew up across the street from each other and started dating in high school. They’ve been together for many years and probably don’t remember life without each other in it. This couple has a love for family, with David’s 8 siblings and Kait’s 2 siblings, so of course, David included them in the proposal several years back. On the day of the proposal, he placed candles and flowers in the backyard. Then David asked Kait to marry him with both of their families there. Love, love, love!
Now, these two call Chicago home while David attends medical school in the city, and Kait recently started a new job in the city, too. I cannot even begin to describe how heartwarming it was to meet up and spend an evening with Kait and David! Gosh, their Chicago skyline engagement session was oh so dreamy. It was like the three of us didn’t miss a beat as soon as we met up again. I’m honored to be their wedding photographer next spring… Oh yes, it will be a big, exciting spring for these two! David graduates medical school in Apriland hopefully matches with an amazing residency, and then these two get married in May. There will be many reasons to celebrate with Kait and David by the time spring 2021 rolls around!
We started their Chicago skyline engagement session near the Wrigley Building on Michigan Avenue. Then, we moved to North Avenue Beach to capture these two along the picturesque Chicago skyline. We were thankful for the most gorgeous September evening for this session, too! I adore this couple if you can’t already tell and simply loved spending time with them at their engagement session, round 2 (see round 1 back in 2017 here)!
