Happy new year! Even though I’m so excited for the new year, you know the drill… It’s time to recap our last month of life!
The month of December started off with a quieter week after the Thanksgiving holiday, hallelujah! Georgie had her teeth cleaned (of course Jett didn’t know what to do without his sissy around for a few hours!), I had a gorgeous Chicago engagement session, and then we photographed our last wedding of the 2020 wedding season.
The following week brought a week of work for us, which we loved! It was good for our souls to relax, recharge, and retreat right after warping up wedding season. I think we should make that a thing every year!
Then, we were back to work and I photographed my last two sessions of the year before 2.5 weeks off work. Then, we enjoyed a visit from family, time off work, and the holidays… To kick off that little break from photo work, we loved spending an evening in Chicago seeing the lights and sights of Christmas through our niece and nephews’ eyes. We also especially loved spending 1-on-1 time with our niece who was visiting from Las Vegas. We cherish these times oh so much!
By the middle of the month, it was time for our family’s annual Christmas baking day. Gosh, I love spending time with our people and baking and loading up on sweet treats. It’s just what the season calls for, right?!
After that, it was Christmas Eve before we knew it. We spent Christmas with our immediate families and are thankful for time well spent. Then it was the week between Christmas and the end of the year when ALL the days run together… Am I right?! And you bet, before we knew it, it was New Years Eve and 2020 was over. Whew, what a year!
December was good to us, but we’re oh so excited for what the new year holds in our life and business!
