Spring is finally here, and I LOVED my time with Colette and Alfonso at their engagement session a couple weeks ago!
These two found me a few months ago via Instagram (gotta love social media connections!), and I am so so thankful that they did! These two are my people, and I am looking forward to their November wedding day.
Colette and Alfonso’s story started in 2007 at Western Illinois University when they were both in an art history class together. Then, six years later they ran into each other again and their relationship grew. Just over one year ago in April, they were having a spring bonfire at their new home with their dog when Alfonso completely surprised surprised Colette with a proposal! And after the proposal, Alfonso shared with Colette that he hadn’t planned the proposal for that day, but the moment felt right, so he went upstairs, got the ring, and proposed. How romantic!
I just love these two! They are sweet and laid-back. They were excited for their engagement session, and we met up in downtown Frankfort, Illinois for their session. The downtown area was the perfect setting for the start of the session… And that spring light – IN LOVE! Then, we moved to another location nearby for a more outdoorsy feel in the photos. All in all, this session was a dream! A big thanks goes to the two of them for trusting me to photograph them. And these two are just crazy photogenic as you can see!
With such amazing, kind, and charismatic people like Colette and Alfonso, I know their wedding day is going to be absolutely wonderful later this year!
