More engagement photos are hitting the blog today! I loved photographing this fall Kankakee County engagement session!

Meet Emily and Travis! At the start of 2020, I met these two through one of my couples, Meredith and Ryan, and am forever thankful. Emily and Travis met in grad school and a few years later he proposed at the Grand Canyon. After visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time myself a couple of years ago, I can imagine that the proposal was absolutely breathtaking! These two are golf and family people – I just love that about them! And now they’re planning their November 2021 wedding day after a coronavirus postponement.

Over the past months, we’ve been planning the details of their fall engagement session. Emily and Travis call Nebraska home, but we coordinated schedules for the most fun engagement photos on one of their visits to Illinois!

We started the session at the Kankakee County train depot before wandering to a couple more Downtown Kankakee spots and then to a fall favorite – Perry Farm! Our schedule was tight with their quick visit to Illinois, so we rocked a dreary, rainy day for these photos. And you know what?! We made MAGIC! I’m so thankful that Emily and Travis trusted me leading up to and during their session. We had so much fun AND captured these two with the start of fall colors despite the dreary weather!
