This recent spring-like weather has me excited for the upcoming year and wedding season… And today, I’m excited to share one of my 2017 couples with you – Breanna & Zack!

Bree and Zack are adventurers and partners in life! These two met in college at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and over the past few years their love has grown. When the time came for Zack to propose to Bree, he chose to propose in an breathtaking location… Pike’s Peak in Manitou Springs, Colorado! What a beautiful, fitting location for these two and their adventurous hearts.

Over the past few months, I have enjoyed getting to know Bree through talking about her love story with Zack, wedding plans, and of course, new puppy experiences! All winter we have been waiting for snow for their session with no such luck. So, we made the best of the season we’ve been given and set out on a gorgeous February afternoon for their engagement session at Starved Rock State Park! I think it’s evident through these photos that we didn’t need snow to have a lovely winter session at this location. The rock and scenery compliment this couple perfectly. After spending the afternoon with these two, it’s evident that their love is tender, simple, and sweet, and I loved my time photographing these two!
