Let’s be real… We all love a good piece of snail mail every once in a while. The best snail mail? Wedding invites!

We have all ran to our mailbox waiting for our friend’s invite for their wedding in a few months. Personally, I love the fun envelope colors! But, what happens when it’s just a white envelope with a sticker label? You open it up and it’s just plain – all on a black and white piece of paper…Okay cool. You put it away and RSVP online. Done, check!

What would happen if you got the invite, it was fun, unique, showcased the couple, and you were so excited you sent a picture to the couple exclaiming how excited you were for the wedding? This invite gives you a taste of the style to come for the couple’s wedding.

Now it’s your turn to make decisions for your wedding stationery… You’re not going to be a boring betty! You want to share some personality and be unique! Here are my 5 tips for unique wedding stationery that will send a smile to your guests faces at their mailboxes

1) Envelope Colors

Yes, I know white can be classy and may fit perfectly in your suite. And that’s okay! This is one of the only times you will have an excuse to send out a couple hundred fun and colorful envelopes. Why not make the most of it! We all get enough white or boring envelopes in the mail, so spice it up! There are so many options for envelopes, just ask your stationer!

2 ) Envelope Liners

My personal favorite to make a suite unique! How fun to open up your envelope and have a fun illustration or graphic peaking out behind the invites! PRO TIP: I prefer to keep these black and white so they don’t take over the suite.

3) Custom Illustrations

What can be more unique and show more personality than a custom illustration? Some options could include a custom monogram, crest, or even a couples portrait! The best part about investing in these custom pieces is that you can put them on everything across the wedding and have a built in heirloom from your day – something to show off when the day is all said and done!

4) Calligraphy

Stamps and stickers are great for addresses. It’s affordable, I get it. But if you have it in your budget or you can do it yourself, DO IT!  Take the time to have them hand addressed because it will be so much more memorable.

5) Custom Stamps

This one may sound silly but it’s actually quite affordable! Ask your stationer to use a design element for a custom postage stamp to tie everything together.
