Getting to photograph my past wedding couples as they step into new seasons of life is one of the greatest joys of what I do. Photographing those milestones will always be such an honor!
I first had the chance to photograph Taylor and Kevin for their engagement and wedding day, and I have loved staying connected and documenting the beautiful moments that have followed since then. Now, their family is growing, and I was so excited to spend an evening with them celebrating this sweet season before they welcome their first little one this fall.
Their maternity session took place at the beginning of September during one of the craziest heat waves! The heat index was well over 100 degrees, and to say we were sweating during this session would be an understatement. Thankfully, you would never know it from these photos! Taylor and Kevin absolutely made the heat look effortless. I think every bit of the warm summer evening was worth it for the beautiful images we created together!
We met at one of my favorite locations in Iroquois County, and I just adore this spot. Between the open scenery, the beautiful sunsets, and the peaceful feeling of being out in the country, it was the perfect setting to celebrate this chapter for Taylor and Kevin. There is something so beautiful about the anticipation that comes before welcoming your first baby. I think this session captured that season in such a sweet and meaningful way.
I absolutely adore these photos of Taylor and Kevin and the joy that shines through them. This is such a special season for their family as they prepare to become a family of three, and I am so excited for everything that is ahead for them.
Best of all, I will get to welcome them back to my studio this fall to photograph their sweet new family once their little one arrives. Being able to document the story from engagement photos and a wedding day to maternity photos and eventually welcoming their baby into the world is the most incredible full-circle gift. I cannot wait to see them again soon!
