What a joy this fall session was!
We squeezed in photos with the Scherf kids before harvest was in full swing on the farm, and I couldn’t be more thankful that we did. Their youngest, Kai, just turned nine months old, and documenting this milestone made the session extra special.
Of course, it’s always sweet to photograph family – but this one hit me in the heart because Kai knows me as Auntie Kara. Being able to capture his milestone and watch him grow behind my camera is such a gift.
Another detail that made this session unique was the fall corn. We’ve never had the chance to take fall photos with the cornfield before harvest, but this year, the timing worked out perfectly. I love that we could incorporate it because these kids are growing up right in the heart of farm life. The photos feel so true to their story, showing a little peek at their beautiful life on the farm.
