Engagement season is upon us, AND I’m loving the engagement sessions I’ve gotten to photograph in the last few weeks! This Chicago skyline engagement session did not disappoint!
Meet Kim and Josh! These two met through a coworker and went on a double date for Mexican food (speaking my language!) a little over one year ago… And the rest is history! This fall, Josh surprised Kim with a proposal at one of their favorite parks. Then, they met up with close friends and family at a favorite brewery after the proposal to celebrate. I love it! Now, Kim and Josh call Chicago home with their sweet new pup while they plan their spring 2021 wedding day together!
Over the past couple of months since we first connected (they found my work on Instagram!), I’ve loved getting to know Kim and Josh. They’re laid back, easy-going, and super fun to be around. When you’re around them, it’s so evident that they just fit together!
On the day of their session, we were thankful for sunshine, sweet December sunshine in Chicago! We met at the Wrigley Building to start the session before heading to the iconic Chicago skyline at North Avenue Beach to round out their engagement session. I have to say, Kim and Josh were all in for these photos, and I love that! It makes my heart swell with joy when a couple shows up to their session and up for anything. This session was a blast! Ohhh yes, even despite the wind and chilly temps along the lakefront ?
One of my biggest shooting goals going into the new year is to evoke more movement and play into my work… And these two made my heart so happy behind the camera doing just that! Looking forward to their wedding in the spring!
