I’ve just gotta say that I’m in love with this North Avenue Beach engagement session. What a DREAM!

Meet Colleen and Joel! I just cannot tell you how much I adore this couple. Almost two years ago now, I met these two at Colleen’s sister’s wedding and was thrilled to hear from them after they got engaged late last year.

These two met through Colleen’s other sister and brother-in-law who are really close friends with Joel. When Colleen shared the story of how they met with me, she told me her family (gotta love sisters looking out for each other!) was right in thinking she and Joel would be perfect for one another. Last year on the day before Thanksgiving, Colleen and Joel were getting ready to make dinner together, and Joel proposed to Colleen in their kitchen. It was just the two of them and so perfect for this couple… I love that!

Over the past months,  I have sincerely loved getting to know these two better as we’ve been planning for their engagement session and upcoming wedding day. And I even got to meet their new pup and snap a few photos a couple weeks before their official engagement session, too. You know I loved that!

On the day of their engagement session, we were thankful for gorgeous sunshine and summer-like weather. Yep, in the middle of September! I truly loved my time spent with these two. From starting the session at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk and braving the heat with me to ending the session with wet, sandy feet at North Avenue Beach at sunset… It was all a dream! The light, the love, and this couple were all amazing.
