Another summer wedding day is hitting the blog! I’m excited to share Kendall and Andrew’s rustic elegance wedding at Town & Country Events!
Back in January 2018, I met Kendall at the Majestically Yours Bridal Show. She had seen and loved my photos from sweet Kristin and David’s wedding before meeting me, and then we instantly hit it off at the bridal show. Over the past year and a half, I have had the joy to get to know Kendall and Andrew better as they planned their wedding day. My favorite detail? Their wedding day was also their three year dating anniversary.
From the Bride
We met at Stampede Saloon in Manteno on May 28, 2016. I was there celebrating my birthday with a few girls I worked with at the time. He was there with his friend to see Nick Lynch. One of my friends kept asking me if she could go talk to him for me. Then I finally told her she could (just to get her to stop asking me)! We started texting that night and met up for DQ and a movie the following night. On June 21, 2016 he decided to make it official and asked me to be his girlfriend.
Then on September 30, 2017 before we went to a Cubs game with my bother and now sister-in-law. He got down on one knee and asked me to “join his team forever,” in front of the Cubs World Series trophy. We went to the game and then went to dinner where my mom, dad, step mom, sister, and step brother met us. I was so surprised to see them there, because they live in Georgia! Now 3 years later we are getting married!
These two love going to Cubs games, watching the Cubs, and joking about which of our favorite players is better. Remember their Cubs engagement photos, too? And of course, we cannot forget that they love spoiling and spending time with their puppy, Wrigley.
As I’ve gotten to know this couple, I’ve come to love and appreciate that the most important part of their wedding day is for their loved ones to be able to see the love they have for each other and to support them in this new journey together. These two best friends are finally MARRIED! I love that they will be able to look back and remember their special day for years and years to come. ?
The Wedding Day
On the morning of their rustic elegance wedding at Town & Country Events, Kyle and I arrived at the venue ready for the day ahead. The girls were in the upstairs loft getting ready as the guys gathered downstairs in the groom’s suite. Everyone was excited for the day ahead!
Kendall and Andrew’s wedding at Town & Country Events is one of many we’ve photographed at the unique small town venue. I remember when Kendall told me that once she visited the venue she felt a huge weight lifted off of her shoulders. They had visited several venues in the early days of wedding planning and nothing was clicking… Until they found Town & Country Events! Plus their vision to pair a navy, coral, gold color palette with a rustic yet elegant feel came together just like they hoped at T&C. I think all in all it was a pretty great choice for these two. ?
As getting ready preparations wrapped up, it was time to get everyone dressed and take a few minutes for Kendall and Andrew to share a first look. After the first look, we were working quickly to beat the rain in Milford and grab a few outdoor photos. And you better bet that I’m always thankful to have ten umbrellas ready at a moments notice in the trunk of my car!
Soon it was time for the couple to share their wedding ceremony surrounded by their closest family, friends, and Kendall’s brother who is in the Army even joined us via FaceTime. It was a joy to see these two share vows and become husband and wife!
After the ceremony, we grabbed a few more bridal party photos and then it was off to the reception to celebrate! And of course there were sunset photos sprinkled in between. All throughout this day, you could truly feel the love surrounding Kendall and Andrew as they began their marriage.
Kendall & Andrew – Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us! We are so happy to share some of our favorite photos!!
