Happy March to you! And since I forgot to share this monthly recap last Monday (facepalm!), it’s still coming your way today!
The month of February started out in the best way possible… AT THE BEACH! My sister-in-law and I flew down to Florida on her birthday for a quick birthday weekend getaway. It was so nice to be down in the St. Petersburg area sitting on the beach and reading without a care in the world. Oh, and I loved meeting up with some dear college friends of ours and sneaking in a beach session, too.
After settling in at home from our beach weekend getaway, I was working full throttle behind the scenes for my new brand + website launch at the end of the month (more on that soon!)… Talk about project after project during “slow season”. I love using the winter months to work on internal projects and housekeeping in my biz, and my rebrand + new website kept me busy!
During the first week of February, I also spent so much time with other creatives from two mentoring sessions to a collaborative call with a new creative friend to a coffee chat with a new photog gal pal in Florida. It filled my soul with so much JOY! And best of all? I spent two days snuggling my sweet niece Sofia while her normal babysitter was on vacation… Loved it!
As we rolled into the first weekend of February, Kyle and I along with my sister, brother-in-law, and mom volunteered for our favorite night of the year – Night To Shine. Last year Kyle and I volunteered as photographers at the event and our hearts have never been the same. This year we were thankful to share the night with our close family, over 400 other volunteers, and 100+ honored guests from our community. It was INCREDIBLE!
And before we knew it – it was the middle of the month which brought a much needed girls night with my favorite girlfriends from junior high and high school AND a Valentine’s Day date with my hubby. Plus on the weekend, Kyle and I explored a brewery – one of our fav things to do in the off-season of weddings.
As the month started to get closer to the end, I had the best morning with local creatives at our TuesdaysTogether gathering, spent time digging into mentoring sessions with clients, enjoyed dinner with dear friends in their home, and hosted my very first virtual happy hour for creatives… All in time for our FIRST WEDDING of the new year and 2019 season!
Throughout the last week of the month, it was a race to the finish line to tie up loose ends for my new brand + website to launch (eeeek – what do you think?!) and share it with the world. It’s been a project I’ve been working on with Launch Your Daydream over the past three months, and I am still over the moon excited that I can share it with the world. And of course, a little cold came my way and tried to lower my spirits but it couldn’t… So you better bet we celebrated with a little wine + toast at home!
All in all, February treated us well. We usually don’t start the year off with such busy months and momentum, but I’m thankful to be here, now, experiencing these days!
