‘Tis the season for a chilly winter engagement session! But ya know what? These sessions are always worth it!
Over the last couple of months, I’ve been looking forward to this engagement session and time spent with this couple!
Meet Courtney and Eric! These two met on Hinge a little over a year ago. They told me that they both knew pretty quickly they had found their forever match! I totally believe that when you know, you just know. This fall, Eric surprised Courtney with a proposal at the same place they had their first date… Just one year later! I love it. Now, these two are planning their fall 2020 wedding day at Greenhouse Loft in Chicago! We can’t wait to be back at that gorgeous venue ?
On the day of Courtney and Eric’s engagement session, the weather forecast looked a bit unpredictable – maybe we were in store for rain, maybe snow flurries, or maybe nothing at all. It was a gray skied day in Chicago, and guess what? No rain (yay!) and just a touch of snow flurries made for a great session despite the freezing cold temps. This winter engagement session started at the Kinzie Street Bridge before moving to the River Walk. Then, we ended the session on the skyline at North Avenue Beach. The Chicago skyline never gets old to me!
I am so thankful that these two (and their pup Hank) braved the cold for this winter engagement session! My husband Kyle even came along to the session to help with Hank, too, and by the end of the session, we all agreed that we thought it was actually way warmer than it really turned out to be that day. So worth it for these photos!
Can’t wait for their October wedding day!
