On the first Friday in December, I traveled to Jacksonville, Illinois for a lifestyle family session!

The Anderson family is one of my favorites! You probably remember their family session from last fall when they were a family of three… Well, now they are a new family of four as they welcomed a baby boy to their family the week before Thanksgiving in November! Addie is a big sister now!

Their session this year took place in their home, and I loved the relaxed feel this gave the session. It was homey and comfortable. We planned this session at the beginning of the year when Lauren and Braden found out they were expecting, and it was the perfect session for documenting new life and a growing family in the wintertime!

Their new baby boy Griffin was a cuddle bug and as sweet as can be. He was preciously perfect, and so sleepy despite his big sister Addie’s love and kisses! It’s not often that I photograph in-home lifestyle family sessions, but this one has a special place in my heart.
