Oh my goodness, I’m so excited to share Nicole and Bradley’s summer backyard wedding day on the blog!
These two got a second chance at love after knowing each other years ago and coming back into each other’s lives in more recent years. At the start of 2020, Nicole and Brad closed on a brand new home and have been putting lots of love into making their house a home together. Perfect place for a backyard wedding then, huh?! I love their story and love that Brad proposed earlier this year and included a proposal to Nicole’s daughters, too. Love, love, love!
Looking back almost 5 years ago, I met Nicole when I moved to Kankakee County and have adored her ever since. We were truly honored to photograph Nicole and Brad’s engagement photos and backyard wedding day in this beautiful season of their life together!
From the Bride
We met at a birthday party. I noticed him first and then messaged him first on Facebook! The proposal was on Easter earlier this year and was the sweetest ever! We love going for walks or having a date night at home with a glass of wine and sitting on the front porch. We love doing projects around the house together, too!
The Wedding Day
This backyard wedding day was a DREAM! On the afternoon of August 29th, Kyle and I arrived at the Mulholland Home as Nicole was putting the finishing touches on all the gorgeous decor. If you know Nicole, you know she has the best style, and I loved seeing her eye for design come to life with this wedding decor! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
Once Nicole was in her dress, we took a few photos with her girls outside before hiding them away for Brad’s arrival. Then, these two shared an intimate backyard wedding ceremony with their closest family and friends. I loved when Nicole’s daughters, Emma and Nora, walked her down the aisle and that Brad’s vows also included vows to the girls. So, so sweet – cue the happy tears!
After the ceremony, I photographed the newlyweds before they joined cocktail hour and rolled into the evening reception! This crew was so fun. You guys, I loved every bit about this backyard wedding. It was simple, beautiful, and all about these two getting married. Just how weddings should be! And as the evening came to a close for us, we loved sneaking off for a few romantic sunset photos with Nicole and Brad… The perfect end to a perfect day!
