This engagement session with these people was extra special to me!
With each couple I meet, build relationships with, and photograph, I hold the stories and those experiences with me. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such joy and so many different paths of couples finding and choosing love… So when I say this session was extra special to me – I mean it! Shana is my best friend, cousin, and basically sister. We grew up literally next door to one another (and YES, school night sleepovers were still very difficult to talk our moms into yet we sometimes still managed to), and we wouldn’t change it for the world. This next step in her life with Weston is a beautiful one, and I cannot wait to see them walk in marriage together!
Shana and Weston have been dating for over six years, and their story started in the Iroquois County farming community. What started as a young love has blossomed into a passionate, ever-growing love. These two love unconditionally and back each other’s wildest dreams.
On this past Christmas Eve, we were all thrilled + crying tears of joy after Weston proposed to Shana. What a beautiful holiday blessing! And soon enough, wedding planning was in full swing in anticipation of their December 2017 wedding day.
I can’t tell you enough good things about these two souls. They love one another playfully yet fiercely and love all of their people well. The emotion they allowed me to document between them at their session tells so much! They let their guards down, laughed, and simply were present in those moments. Shana + Weston… Thank you for letting me photograph you two this year before your wedding! I cannot wait to see you become husband and wife!
And what’s the best part of it all? Six years in and their story is just getting started 🙂
