Today we’re celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary! Happy five married years to us ?

When I look back on that cloudy 70-something degree day we married, I will be honest – there are lots of things I don’t remember… I don’t remember watching the weather forecast, stressing over wedding week to-do’s, or making sure everything was perfect. What I do remember? Laughing until I cried while opening Kyle’s gift and handwritten note (on an index card!) to me on the morning of our wedding. Turning to walk down the aisle with my dad and catching my breath as I saw Kyle for the first time on our wedding day. Holding Kyle’s hands and saying our vows with tears running down our cheeks. I remember how we trusted so deeply in our young love. I remember feeling great joy as our loved ones hugged us and celebrated with us on that day. It’s beautiful to think that’s where our marriage started. Now we’re five years in – and still calling ourselves newlyweds – with countless years ahead.

Love you bunches, Kyle! I promise to keep choosing you each and every day. Cheers to the last five and all the years to come!
