Studio sessions make my heart happy!
Meet the Ramos family! I connected with Ashley and her family over on Instagram a few months ago when I relaunched family photography in my business!
Ashley is a cookie artist based in Kankakee. She’s a new business owner and has jumped right in! I applaud her and her hard work and hope to enjoy to some of her cookies very soon – you know I love my sweets! I also absolutely love cheering on other small business owners, so it’s a true joy to get to know and connect with another small business owner in our community. I’m wishing Ashley and her business all the success in Kankakee County!
Fun fact – Ashley and her family moved to Kankakee from Colorado last year. They love spending time outdoors with their active two-year-old twin boys!
Now to the even more fun stuff – photos! The Ramos family joined me in mid-April at our natural light studio in Kankakee for family photos. Ashley was amazing to work with and plan outfits and session details alongside in the weeks leading up to the session. We had so much fun at the session, and I know that’s because we planned ahead, had snacks & toys ready for the kiddos (#sessiontip), and let the kids lead the session. I love incorporating play into sessions, taking breaks if needed, and letting the kiddos lead instead of sitting still every second.
The twins are full of energy and had all of us running around the studio throughout this session! I think these photos show their personalities perfectly. It was an honor to photograph the Ramos family and welcome them to the studio! It’s my hope to photograph them again as the twins grow and change.
