Happy October! It’s officially my birthday month, so you better bet I’m going to enjoy cake a time (or two or three) this month!
The past month was slightly nutty, but I’ve come to realize that there is ALWAYS going to be something going on in life and busy things happening, so why not just embrace it! The month of September started with Labor Day weekend… We started the weekend debuting our fisheye photo booth at its first event, and then spent Sunday and Monday with Kyle’s brother Derek, his wife, and our nephew Cooper. It was great! Then, before we knew it, it was September 4th – Kyle’s birthday! We celebrated with a birthday dinner with his twin in the city at one of their favorite restaurants.
After a busy start to the month, we rolled into the first weekend of September and the first wedding of three last month. On the second Tuesday of the month, I led our local TuesdaysTogether chapter meeting, and it was so good. These people are doing wonderful things in our community, and it fills my cup to be able to spend time alongside them. After that, I loved having a sushi night with my best gal pals before another wedding weekend. And you guys, I’m so excited to share that wedding day soon – keep an eye out!
By the middle of September, Kyle and I spent a Sunday afternoon at County Line Orchard picking apples and moseying around that afternoon. It was wonderful to not have a plan and simply spend a free day together. Loved it! The following week held FOUR sessions, and praise the Lord not one was rained out. Weather session reschedules are no fun in the photography world!
As the month rounded out, we spend time with our family and friends, snuggled our niece Sofia, welcomed our niece Pix and her mom back from Alaska for a visit, and photographed our nephew Cooper’s nine month milestone. We are loving this life with these people! Oh, and we celebrated TEN YEARS together and spent the last day of the month seeing a musical two of our local friends performed in.
Looking forward to the month ahead with lots of sessions and five weddings! Say a prayer for beautiful weather 🙂
